Board and Train

Your pup will live in the house with me and receive training throughout the day through focused sessions and passive training.

Adult Training includes: Perfect 'heel' walk with automatic sit, reactivity, barking, and jumping cessation, 'go lie down' on command, addressing impulse control, confidence building, and more.

Puppy Training includes: potty training, crate training, sleeping through the night, socialization, leash introduction, house manners, and yard manners.

This program will produce the fastest results, but can be harder to maintain without being part of the initial learning process.

ADULT DOGS:

7-9 days/1 dog: $1,500

10-14 days/1 dog: $2,000

PUPPIES:

7-9 days/1 puppy: $2000

10-14 days/1 puppy: $2,500

FOR OWNERS INTERESTED IN TRAINING FOR FILM:

Get your dog ready for the silver screen! Together, we will teach your dog how to hit a mark, work at a distance, and learn some movie magic!*

Requirements:

Dogs must have completed either a week-long board-and-train or 4 in-home sessions.

ADULT AND PUPPIES:

1 dog: $100/first 4 sessions then $50/session to continue

*This training does not guarantee your dog will be used for production work. Dogs will be submitted for projects at our discretion, and on a case-by-case basis. Details and payment for production work will be agreed upon before the final submission takes place.

In-Home Training

Pay-as-you-go, single sessions. These are about an hour for one dog and an hour and a half for two dogs. Sessions are held in your home. The ideal program is 4 sessions, spaced every week to every two weeks apart.

Puppies younger than 12 weeks typically need only one or two sessions to give you the tools to set them up for confidence and success. Full in-home training packages are only recommended for dogs 16 weeks and older.

Optimally, all adults should be present and without distractions. Children and other family members can be integrated into training later in the process.

For more than one dog, it is recommended to focus on one or two dogs for our sessions. Throughout the week, you can implement the same skills with the other dogs.

ADULT DOGS and PUPPIES:

1 dog: $200/session apx. 1 hr. and within a 10-mile radius of the East 46 area*

2 dogs: $230/session apx. 1.5 hrs. and within a 10-mile radius of the East 46 area*

*Additional mileage and time will increase costs on a sliding scale.

Off-Leash Recall Training

Dogs must have completed either a full board and train program or 3 of the 4 single in-home sessions to be eligible for off-leash recall training.

This is done through a board-and-train approach. I will take your dog for one week and teach them a reliable recall. This is suitable for dogs that frequent large properties, lakes, or have owners who need more flexibility with keeping their dogs off-leash while still maintaining control.

I utilize a tool called the mini-educator, which acts as a remote leash. Over the years, I have found the most effective way to train this specific behavior is for the dog to fully learn how it works first, then teach you, the owner. When both the dog and the human are learning at the same time, it can be overwhelming for both and less productive.
